Sorry, run that past me again! The most International soft drinks business yield a stock that rots teeth and God knows what else........and they target kids in their advertising campaign. The most International fast food business yield food that has now been proven to be at best junk and at worst seriously harmful to health...and yes they again target children. I am not anti American, but the plain fact is America has for some time now been at the forefront of consumerism and our current evolutionary direction. America has been telling the world now to ensue them, become as them and they have even attacked countries that strongly dissagree with them. So what does all the above indicate? To me it indicates that we as a species have become hopelessly lost, that our sense of basic human values has been lost and that we have, as a species morally lost our way.We regard ourselves as first-rate to all the other life forms with whom we share our world. Let's see how dumb they are. Take the animals that we are most customary with, closest too, cats and dogs Even they seem to share qualities that we no longer have, qualities that we do not even consider important. `Blow cigarette smoke in the direction of a cat, or dog, runs away right? We the smart ones not only breath it in, we like it! Again dogs and cats. There are countless tales of these animals getting lost, or left behind, from a house move and finding their way, sometimes 1,000,s of miles to their owners. Do we give a conception to this magic, do we even consider the huge implications of what is happening here, of what is guiding them? Birds, we all know they migrate, again sometimes 1,000,s of miles, we do not even consider the implications "it's in their genes" we are told. What is in their genes, what is guiding them? Fish, put Koi Carp in a small pond and they will not grow very much and probably not mate either. Change those same fish to a bigger pond and they will both grow and mate. How do they do that, is it not something very special? What is guiding them? The list truly is endless, Dolphins, Whales, etc. Now could it just be that at some point within our evolutionary process we have lost something very important? That we have become disconnected to the very thread of existence and in losing that connection, we have in actual fact thoroughly lost our way? Maybe there is something, some spark within us that lies dormant, some faint inborn connection to something that we no longer understand? Star Wars was a monster hit over the world and the "force" that central theme of these movies, was portrayed as an achievable connection to an inner guiding strength, a power within. Could it be? The Indian Fakirs able to overcome corporeal limitations, even to the point of slowing their very heartbeat to a point close to, medically definable death. The magicians of folk lore, the sages and saints, so many indications that there is someone else level of being human, a level that we no longer know of. Could it be that the absence of this connection this guiding force is what separates from both our fellow man and all other existence upon this planet? Clearly there is something very strange about a species that devotes so much power in devising bigger and great methods to cause the death of his fellow humans. How evolved is a species that will truly put huge effort into producing something that is not only unnecessary, but, also harmfull. Why? for personal financial gain and thats it. Is this not a small crazy. A species that will put into those same products chemicals to whether heighten the flavour, or prolong the life of the product, that is again provably harmful to human life. Is there truly so much divergence in mentality in the middle of the first cave man discovering a club and the efforts behind the invention of the Atom Bomb? Are they not equal as manifestations of fear, of separation and of being apart from the rest of mankind? How do you sum up, or judge a civilization that expends huge effort and recourses into producing what is at best unnecessary and at worst harmful. How do you communicate a species that will produce, solely for financial gain products that are truly harmful to their own children. What does this say about the evolutionary direction we have been and are traveling. Is it not our moral duty to safe our children? Of course we are destroying the planet, why not? We have been working hard at destroying each other it seems; No it seems in many ways we have not advanced, evolved, or industrialized in terms of awareness very much at all. It has been said that what we regard as civilization is 3 days food away from collapse, from anarchy. What does that say about our private and communal evolvement? mother Earth is telling us, very clearly that we cannot continue in our current direction, that in fact our current direction is contrary to life on earth.
